Maude Esteen (Jemerson) AmosApril 20, 1927 ~ January 5, 2017 (age 89)
Sister Maude Esteen (Jemerson) Amos received her heavenly wings on January 5, 2017 at Crest Park in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Maude was the youngest of eleven children of the late Jim and Frankie (Jennings) Jemerson. Five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage to the late Louis Amos and from this union eight children-five son and three daughters- were born. One daughter, Darlene Herron preceded her in death.
Maude was a kind and loving person who was willing to help in any way she could. She attended and graduated from Immanuel High School in Almyra, Arkansas. At an early age she joined St. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Dewitt, Arkansas (Boone Hill). She later moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas where she united with Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.C. Holmes where she remained a faithful servant until her health failed; after which, Pastor Al Allen took her under his covenant.
Maude is survived by her sons, Arthur (Tarlice) Amos, Lewis (Anna)Amos, Phillips (Racine) Amos, Ray (Lola)Amos and Bruce Amos; daughters, Debra Ross and Frankie Amos; eighteen grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 5 great- great-grandchildren. One brother, O.B. Jemerson; one sister-in-law, Mary Jemerson; a special cousin, Ursa Clark and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her tremendously
