Willie Lee Wyatt was born February 19, 1967 to the late Mr. Theodore and Mrs. Lula Mae Wyatt. With “life like a vapour, that appeareth for a little time and then vanished away”-(James 4:14), he departed this Earthly realm and entered the Heavenly realm on August 9, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
Willie was a graduate of Stuttgart High School with the proud class of 1986. He was employed at Walmart for 16 years as an overnight stocker. For 12 years, he was married to the love of his life -Mrs. Sheila Applewhite-Wyatt. Willie acknowledged Christ as his Lord and Savior throughout his life, starting under the pastorate of Rev. Bobby Brown at Beautiful Zion Church and later in life; he joined the membership of Holy Benton Temple under the pastorate of Superintendent Lawrence O’Neal where he remained faithful until his passing. Bro. Willie displayed loving church like known other, acknowledging God and His awesome power to the fullest. When Bro. Willie entered the doors of the church, the scripture Psalms 100:4 “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name” was definitely manifested through Bro. Willie’s worship. He headed directly to the front of the church expressing “YOU HAVE TO GET CLOSE TO THE FIRE!” Bro. Willie loved his God and exhibited much compassion for his family, people and enjoying life with laughter.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Wyatt and one, brother, Theodore “Jody” Wyatt Jr., preceded in death.
Willie will be forever cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Shelia Applewhite-Wyatt ; five step-children: Andrea (Cedric)Smith of McKinney, TX; Latanya Applewhite of Little Rock, AR; Darrodrick (Kimberly)Applewhite and Teanisha Applewhite both of Stuttgart, AR; Demarcus Applewhite of Little Rock, AR; one loving sister, Marlene(Michael) Laws of Stuttgart, AR; three brothers, Gary Wyatt of Stuttgart, AR; Vincent (Shaundresa) Wyatt of Conway, AR; John Wyatt of Stuttgart, AR; one special uncle, Freddie Covington; 11 step-grandchildren with a host of special nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
